Fulbright Teachers Training 2020
The US Embassy in Dhaka is accepting applications from secondary school teachers in Bangladesh for a six-week Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) program. Elected candidates will be able to participate in the February-March or September-November, 2021 sessions according to their choice.
About Fulbright TEA Teachers Training 2020
It is learned that the selected teachers from Bangladesh along with the selected teachers from other countries will participate in this program of the United States in the spring or fall session of 2021 of their choice. Through the Fulbright TEA program, teachers will have the opportunity to develop their respective subject-based skills. This training will develop their teaching skills and through this they also learn many things about united states.
What to learn by Teachers Training
The program will provide training on curriculum and teaching methods, lesson planning and teaching techniques. So that they can use them back in their respective countries. In addition, the Internet, word processing and the use of computers as a medium of instruction will be taught. Under the six-week program, they will do an internship at a secondary school in the United States for two weeks.
This will give you the opportunity to work actively with American teachers and students. They will be taken on sightseeing tours in the United States. Academic support will be provided throughout the program.

Eligibility for application:
A full-time teacher working at the secondary level in a variety of subjects such as social studies, civic education, mathematics, English as a foreign language and science for five or more years in the teaching, a citizen of Bangladesh and having a valid Bangladeshi passport, credentials. After returning to the country at the end of the Fulbright TEA program, he will promise to stay in the teaching profession for at least 5 years. And candidates able to speak and write in English.
Skills of Fulbright Training
This program requires good at English language. Because those who go to the United States under this program will have to travel alone and do their own task. You have to express your ideas and opinions clearly and effectively in university and professional discussions. Must have general quality computer skills. So that word processing or writing can be done on the computer. Must have basic knowledge of file management and ideas about Microsoft Office.
Requirements for Application:
A full application must be submitted, which will include-
- A completed application form (please do not attach the instructions pages).
- Last updated CV mentioning a current status.
- An Institutional Support and Reference Form (ISRF) filled out by the Supervisor.
- An Approved Leave Application Form (LAF).
- Photocopy of the applicant’s passport (pages containing information).
- A passport size photo.
- Copy of Certificate of Educational Qualification (undergraduate and postgraduate mark sheet or transcript only).
IELTS
The shortlisted candidates will have to take the TOEFL or IELTS test. Must have a score of 7.0 or higher in IELTS or equivalent in any other English language test. Those who have a valid score in the English language test, that is, the score has not expired, do not need to take the test again. The American Center will arrange all tests as needed.
Interview
Selected candidates will be called for interview. This interview will be conducted in English.
